A 29-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly shooting and killing his girlfriend and three children at their home in Alaskan waters.
The woman was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 19, according to Anchorage police.
The children’s mother called 911 and then called 911 again to report her ex being “acting crazy” and screaming at her.
Officers arrived at the home at about 5 a.m. and found a woman and her three children lying in the driveway, police said.
Police identified the woman as Rachel Hildebrandt, who had worked as a nurse at the Anchorage Regional Medical Center for more than a decade, according a statement from the Anchorage Police Department.
Hildebrandst was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation and treated for a gunshot wound to the chest, police added.
She was later arrested at the scene.
